Dear Readers,
I’m delighted you stopped by today. We’ve done some spring cleaning to freshen the web site just for you.
First and foremost, the Louise and Friends eCookbook is finally complete!
Thank you for responding to my call for comfort-food recipes with such delicious enthusiasm. My writing group prepared and judged the recipes you entered. We completely debunked the death-by-chocolate myth, so feel free to indulge in the Mounds Cake and Chocolate-Covered Cherry Cookies. For those of you comforted by a flavor-rich entree, Marylou Smith’s Burracos earned top marks. The recipes deemed most likely to be found in Louise’s recipe file are now available as a downloadable PDF file. My heartfelt thanks to all who submitted recipes.
We’ve brushed cobwebs away on the Contact page too. Now, you can drop a note—I love hearing from you—and sign up for my quarterly newsletter where I keep you up-to-date on book releases and personal appearances, dabble in book talk, and aim to inspire. I send newsletters 4-6 times a year.
My 2008 resolution is to refresh my home page and podcast every month, so stop by often to hear my latest musing on things sublime and divine. In this month’s podcast, I reveal the story behind the title of my fall release, The Queen of Sleepy Eye. You can also watch a trailer for the book .
For those of you who came for more information about my Garden Gates Series, you can read the first chapters of Like a Watered Garden, Always Green, and In Every Flower right here on the site. For book club members, I’ve also prepared discussion questions for all three books.
You’ll also find photos, deleted scenes, and lots of other fun within these pages, so take your time and enjoy your visit.
Last, and best of all, make sure you visit my Contest page to learn about your chance to win some “sparkling” new prizes. The offer is open to any book clubs reading The Queen of Sleepy Eye.
This is a contest you will DEFINITELY want to win!
Grow in grace,
